Implementing the Australian Curriculum: Science in 2012?

Help your staff transition to the new curriculum with the support of a resource that is based on research, written by a team of experts in literacy, science and teaching, and trialed by teachers. PrimaryConnections is being used in more than 50% of Australian schools and units will be fully aligned to the AC: Science by June 2012.
Workshops are available in Term 4 at your school for the whole staff as preparation for 2012.
Or you can attend an Introduction to PrimaryConnections workshop at a Brisbane Southside (2nd) or Northside (7th) venue in November.
See flyer below for further information.

Professional Development series

New workshop series:

Small group workshops for year level or phase of schooling teams of teachers during planning days.

These workshops are run over a series of days throughout the year at your school to allow teachers to experience investigations and teacher background knowledge in science in a choice of sub-strands from the Australian Curriculum: Science.

For example: St. Vincent's School, Clear Island Waters booked Mondays over a term to allow all their teachers to participate in small group workshops on Chemical Sciences and Physical Sciences. Their usual planning days were split into half days and each teacher attended a workshop on their half day twice during the term.
They included 3 day PrimaryConnections Curriculum Leader Training for three teachers on staff who represented the Early Years, Middle Primary and Upper Primary. They also had a full day of PrimaryConnections professional development on a pupil free day for the whole staff.
